We recognise that moving into a care home is a big step and can cause concern and anxiety for some people. For this reason we want to make the transition to us as smooth as possible for you. We will endeavour to make your admission into St Luke’s as relaxed and informal as possible. On admission you will be introduced to our friendly team who will assist you in your transition to living at St Luke's. Please do not hesitate to raise any questions you may have about the Home’s routines and facilities - we are always happy to help.

As part of our care planning we have a Key Worker system in place. Upon your arrival a specific member of staff will be assigned to you personally to look after your physical, emotional and social well-being. They will soon become familiar faces to you and will be happy to answer any queries or anxieties you or your family may have.

The local medical practices provide our medical requirements, and their GPs are willing to visit you at the Home if required. You will be registered with our local GP practice when you move into St Luke’s Care Home. We will also be able to take care of your prescription needs through these surgeries. The Senior Staff members of the team undertake responsibility for managing, ordering, and administering, any medication for our residents.
